This is an elegant chime - a large chandelier of Capiz shells that makes a beautiful visual statement in any room or garden. Created using naturally white shells, making these so versatile and easy to use in any room.  Feed a hanging lamp kit through the wireframe to create a stunning lamp. These create a nice soft sound and measure 9" x 24" length.

These Capiz shells come from a fishing village in Java, where the shell artisans sustainably harvest the shells and shape them. All parts of the Capiz (jingle oysters) are used; the meat is used for food, the main part of the shell for artisan crafting and the shell waste for fertilizer. Only full-grown shells are harvested from the kelp beds, which provides more space and food source for the young ones to grow.
