These beautiful Capiz shells are a tropical mix of tropical colors in orange, aqua, greens and pale blues that will brighten any of your home or office surroundings. The inverted arch design makes it easy to hang on a wall or even hang together with another color.  When placed outside, they create a gentle tinkling sound. Measure approx. 12.75" x 30" length.

Our Capiz shells come from a fishing village in Java, where the shell artisans sustainably harvest the shells and shape them. All parts of the Capiz (jingle oysters) are used; the meat is used for food, the main part of the shell for artisan crafting and the shell waste for fertilizer. Only full-grown shells are harvested from the kelp beds, which provides more space and food source for the young ones to grow.
